Biography
A ’72 distinguished graduate, I graduated 22nd in the GOM, and commanded CS-03 Fall of ’71. I was a member of one of the first rugby teams, having been recruited out of my honors History class by Captain Alan Osur, and served 1 year as president of Bluebards, the USAFA theatre club. After graduation I attended Baylor College of Medicine. I completed an OB-GYN residency at USAF Medical Center, Keesler AFB and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at University of California Irvine. I spent 16 years on active duty and 8 as a reservist. Among other positions I served as Chief of Obstetrical Services at USAF Medical Center, Wright Patterson, and director of the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Associate Professor, Department of OB-GYN, Wright State University School of Medicine, and Director, Macintire Perinatal Center, Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. I have served on boards for The March of Dimes (2 years as Chairman, Dayton OH), Living Bread, Greenville (non-profit caring for clients with eating disorders) (3 years as Chairman), Spartanburg Arts Partnership, Spartanburg Little Theatre (3 years as President) and South Carolina Section of the USTA. I am a certified Poll Manager, Spartanburg County SC.
Candidacy Statement
A ’72 distinguished graduate, I am a retired physician and running for the Board of Directors.
I received an MD from Baylor College of Medicine, completed an Ob-Gyn residency at USAF Medical Center, Keesler AFB, Biloxi Mississippi, and received a certificate in Maternal Fetal Medicine after a fellowship at UCI.
I wish to continue my support of community missions that I have endeavored to do since even before my USAFA days.

In addition to commanding CS-03, I have directed Medical School department divisions, Perinatal Centers, and several hospital Obstetrical Services.
I am strongly qualified from leadership and involvement perspectives to contribute to the mission of the AOG and help it achieve its vision.
With input from AOG members, I will work tirelessly to ensure that the AOG is a source of cogent appropriate ideas, opinions, and recommendations in support of the mission of USAFA. I will work to promote USAFA’s prestige and integrity as it fulfills its mission to graduate warrior/leaders.
