Candidacy Statement
I am Ebony Sunala Johnson, Class of 2000, a former military intelligence officer who served in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom while on active duty and as a reservist. I bring critical skills to the Association of Graduates Board of Directors as an attorney with over 16 years of experience drafting and interpreting laws and regulation, advising corporate boards and senior leaders, and engaging various stakeholders, in addition to having led a board of directors for a decade. I ask for your vote in the 2025 AOG Board of Directors election.
Like many of you, I separated from the military before retirement and continue as a servant leader in my profession and in my community. In my legal practice, I have successfully protected the rights of combat veterans and disabled children, and helped recover over $100 million on behalf of impacted consumers.
If elected, I will work to be a connective tissue between USAFA and all of us graduates who continue in the spirit of servant leadership, whether it is through parenting, teaching, community engagement, corporate work/entrepreneurship, or military command.
I look forward to being your representative on the AOG Board. Thank you for your consideration.
