The new Hosmer Visitor Center at the U.S. Air Force Academy opened to the public on May 16, 2026.

The Checkpoints team covered the center's ribbon-cutting ceremony and captured video of the first visitors to go through seven galleries before the public grand opening. 

USAFA’s newest landmark is designed to inspire future leaders and tell the story of the 47-month cadet journey from inprocessing to graduation. Named in honor of Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Bradley '59 and his wife, Zita, the 34,000-square-foot visitor center features interactive exhibits that showcase the cadet journey, the Academy’s mission and the many career paths available to graduates. Gen. Hosmer was the Academy’s first graduate, first Rhodes Scholar and first graduate to serve as Academy superintendent.
