Association of Graduates and Air Force Academy Foundation Name Katie Willemarck as CFO

Katie Willemarck, CPA, will join the Association of Graduates and Air Force Academy Foundation as their first joint chief financial officer on Jan. 1. She will lead financial, accounting and human resources operations across the alumni association and foundation.
Willemarck is the CFO of USA Triathlon based in Colorado Springs. Her 19 years of experience in the finance profession includes more than a decade in public accounting at BKD, a major professional services firm where she consulted with nonprofit and heath care clients. She has also served as director of accounting for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Willemarck earned her bachelor of applied science degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore.
In 2020, the Association of Graduates and Air Force Academy Foundation, both existing as separate nonprofits, began efforts to align under joint management and combine functions to increase efficiency and effectiveness in advancing their complementary missions. In the spring of 2020, the boards of both organizations named a joint CEO, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Mike Gould, a 1976 USAFA graduate and the 18th superintendent of the Academy. In the fall of 2021, the AOG and Foundation named Mark Hille, a 1997 USAFA graduate, as joint president. Other functional areas within the organizations have since aligned under joint management. The two organizations are currently finalizing a joint strategic plan.

Willemarck is active in the Pikes Peak Region, serving as treasurer of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation board of directors and as its interim CEO. She also serves on the board of directors for the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.
