Inprocessing Day: Class of 2024
It was a beautiful Colorado day for Inprocessing on June 25, 2020 — with the exception of a few showers in the afternoon. But hundreds of parents and family members dropped off the newest Class of 2024 in a socially distanced way.
The Doolies exited near the Holaday Athletic Center, promptly given a black mask and entered for temperature checks, medical checks, gear issue, messages from senior USAFA leaders and more. The Class of 2024 was eventually bused up to the footprints for corrections and then headed for haircuts and other fun.
After dropping off loved ones, family members headed to Doolittle Hall to write their first letters to the cadet candidates, with the help of the Colorado Parents' Club. Folks also shopped inside for Class of 2024 gear and more Air Force merchandise. They also stopped by Falcon Stadium for a few recorded messages from USAFA leadership, pictures down on the field, beverages and much more.
Welcome to the USAFA family all who dropped off loved ones and those who didn't make the trip. It was a strange Inprocessing day indeed, but still very exciting and meaningful. Safe travels home!
