The current process for approving Board Minutes calls for the Board Secretary and AOG Staff to compile the Minutes and to send them to the Board Chair for an initial review and edit. This second draft version of the Minutes is then coordinated with all the Directors and comments are integrated into a Board Coordinated Draft that may be circulated again if there are substantive adjustments to the initial drafts.
The AOG Bylaws establish a target of five days for the posting of "approved" Minutes and allow the Board Chair to publish "provisional" Minutes prior to formal AOG Board approval in the interest of communicating board activities to the membership in a timely manner. Please note that the minutes are not "approved" until the next board meeting. As a result, "provisional" Minutes are informational only and technically "unapproved" until a formal vote is taken by the AOG Board.
