Meet Your AOG: Corrie Grubbs
Name and Title: Corrie Grubbs,
Senior Vice President, Business Operations
When did you start working for the AOG?
What do you do to help AOG members? I am fortunate to head up the Alumni Affairs department and work in all aspects with graduates to include chapters, reunions, membership benefits and services, as well as nationwide alumni gatherings.
Can you share a great customer service story or an example of AOG teamwork? The greatest example of AOG teamwork is on Inprocessing Day each year. All AOG employees along with Endowment employees work to ensure that over 1000 students along with family and friends are welcome at the Academy, beginning point of the Long Blue Line.
Any tips or reminders for AOG members to get the most out of their membership? The biggest reminder is that your membership is more than discounts on events and merchandise, it is a connection to your Institution, graduates, and cadets.
Do you have a favorite Air Force Academy moment, person, place, or memory? This past December, I had the opportunity to shake hands and speak to 5 of the Medal of Honor recipients. They joined us in DC for a Fan Fest before the military bowl game. They were all humble and honored to have served. After meeting them, I witnessed the definition of "leading by example" in action.
Getting to know you better, when you're not at Doolittle Hall we can find you... I am enjoying the various activities of downtown living as well as being the "fun Aunt" to my niece Cate and nephew Colin who live in the Springs.
