"Class Motto: ""Plemis Animorum"" meaning ""Full of Pride""

The Polaris, the ""North Star"" of our class serves as the guiding light for all those who are in our class, those who came before us, and those who will come after we have left the Academy. The American Flag showing 5 stripes and stars signifies the bloodshed and the loyalty of our servicemen and women who gave their lives for its patriotic symbolism. The Noble Eagle with open wings represents the character of our class and willingness of those to fight for the freedom of our nation. XLVII, the 47th Academy Class to be sworn in and prepared to take the ranks among our fellow officers. 2005, presented at the top of the crest in large, dynamic writing typifies the power and respect that the Class of 2005 has earned and is determined to continue. ""Plemis Animorum"" ""Full of Pride"", our warrior call and class motto. The Saber passes through the Pentagon to symbolize the piercing of a nation that we endured during our 4-degree year on that fateful day in September 2001. An F-22, F-15, and A-10 add up to 47, our class year. These aircraft reflect the power, speed, and intelligence of a class prepared to go out and move the Air Force even further into the 21st Century. The Pentagon, a symbol of all that occurred on that September 11th morning; its memory haunts us and its resolve solidifies our purpose here at the Academy."
